Emperor Claudius II decided to restrict marriage of young person as he had a belief that single man can be made better soldier than those who have wives, children and in short family. So that he debarred the marriage of young men. But Valentines had realized the injustice of this decree and he secretly conducted marriage of young lovers by disobeying the law. One day Emperor became to know about it and put him in jail. During spending the periods in jail it is believed that Valentine fell in love with a blind girl who was the daughter of the jailor and who visited him during the confinement of his death and before death saint Valentine wrote her a letter emphasizing his sign with “from your valentine"
