Holly Chandelier
Wednesday, December 14, 2011 Posted by UnknownHolly is a symbol of truth in heraldry.
Inspired by my purchase of a French cast iron air dryer for flowers from the lovely Rachael,
A Room For Everyone, and her new shop Gidgi.

I have made a chandelier from Holly sprigs.
It was rather a prickly task but the result is a very pretty decoration for the holidays.
A touch of romantic vintage lace for the Firelace Mantel
Tuesday, December 6, 2011 Posted by UnknownMany years ago, the French used lace as decoration over a Fireplace, mantle,
shelf front or above a window. I particularly love the romantic look for a fireplace.
I bought this beautiful vintage mantel lace from a lovely etsy shop French Gypsy in France.
I love the way it fits perfectly on our sitting room fireplace mantel.
A little taste of Christmas, our theme, A Partridge in a pear tree
Sunday, December 4, 2011 Posted by UnknownMy twigs of blossom have kept beautifully all through Spring and so I thought they would make a wonderful twig Christmas tree decorated with golden pears and little beads.
This is a work in progress and I have a few more finishing touches yet to come....
A little glimpse of the kitchen mantel, I bought this amazing Fleur de Lis at a flea market stall
for just $5, it painted up beautifully to hang above the old brick fireplace.

Playing House
Thursday, November 17, 2011 Posted by Unknown.....at least for a little while, in what has been a very busy week
A few purchases that were made recently are now at home as decorative pieces.
It looks wonderful on the old Victorian fireplace mantel in my studio.
I found a pretty floral hair wreath in Sportsgirl in Sydney, a few ribbons and vintage lace
and I have a beautiful decoration for my bathroom.
Simple Pleasures
Saturday, October 8, 2011 Posted by Unknown"Playing House", a wonderful flea market find, a lovely vintage wicker basket, perfect to store
my linen and lace knicknacks in the kitchen and a tiny olive topiary tree for the bathroom.
The inspiration for the Olive topiary tree came from the very talented Ozma of Odds
Although my little tree is nowhere near as grand as her beautiful creation it makes me happy:)
