Moleskine Cahiers love them!

Friday, March 19, 2010
I really do love paper, journals, cards, note books, music sheets, new paper, old paper, books, magazines...

My collection of ephemera is huge, boxes and shelves of it, I would love to have some way of dislaying it all to inspire but my studio is too small.

Notebooks the same style as the modern Moleskine notebooks were a popular  in 19th and 20th century Europe. They were handmade by  French bookbinders who supplied the stationery shops of Paris.

"Cahier" is French for notebook, from the Old French quaier.

Customising these wonderful notebooks has become very popular.
